Kitchen & Bathroom Transformation
Entering a new stage of life, the homeowners wanted their home to feel easier, more comfortable and better suited to the way they live today. A more open kitchen and a thoughtfully adapted bathroom brought greater ease, connection and independence into everyday life.
The project also looked beyond the kitchen itself. The connection to the utility room was reworked so the daily route from the garden, through the utility space and into the kitchen became more direct and practical.
The altered access also made it possible to organise the utility room more efficiently, with better storage and a clearer arrangement for laundry and household tasks. Small changes to circulation created noticeably more ease in everyday life.
The bathroom was then adapted to support the homeowners as their needs change over time. A generous shower with a built-in seat, supportive grab rails and a more accessible wash area improve comfort and safety without giving the room a clinical feel.
Made-to-measure storage uses the space beneath the sloping roof, while a considered lighting scheme combines functional illumination with warm indirect light. The result is a calm, comfortable bathroom designed to support independence at home.
A home that works for the life being lived now, while quietly considering what may become important in the years ahead.
